About Doug Coffman Racing

IMCA Modified · Roseburg, OR

Doug Coffman Racing is a small budget family operation from Roseburg, Oregon. Just Doug and his twin girls, Taryn and Dakota, chasing a dream one dirt night at a time in the IMCA Modified division. The Modified is IMCA's top modified class, launched in 1979 and built around open front wheels, enclosed rear wheels and a cost-control engine claim rule. IMCA itself, headquartered in Vinton, Iowa, was organized in 1915 and is the oldest active auto racing sanctioning body in the United States, with nearly 10,000 drivers competing in more than 40 states and Canada during its 111th season in 2025. Modifieds are its largest division — which means every feature is earned. Home turf is Northwest clay: Douglas County Dirtrack, a 3/10-mile oval at the Douglas County Fairgrounds that picked up IMCA sanctioning for 2024 and races Friday nights, and Cottage Grove Speedway, a quarter-mile high-banked clay oval built in 1956. Doug has also been a car owner, fielding the entry Anthony Pope of Roseburg drove to fifth in the Northern SportMod feature on night one of the 2021 Mark Howard Memorial Modified Nationals at Cottage Grove.
